I finished the frog booties! Yay!
They're cute, but not so cute I'd want to make them again.

This morning, finding myself ready a few minutes early, I cast on for a pair of Regia mini-Ringel socks. This uses a simple basic sock pattern, 64 sts on size 2 double-pointed needles. I plan to do a k 2, p2 rib for 1 1/2 to 2 inches, then do the rest of the leg in plan knit. I've not decided on a heel turning yet - I might give the "strap heel" from Heels by number a try.

And, except for the shower this weekend (and church) I have no commitments! I am ahead in teaching-stuff, I have a journal
article ready to go back to my co-author for his approval. So I can actually relax and knit this weekend for a change.
