Ecology link 'o' the day: I frequently refer to the classic Hubbard Brook watershed study in my Ecology and Soils lectures, but never thought to look for information "from the horse's mouth," so to speak. The Hubbard Brook LTER site has their own webpage with maps and other interesting information.
Funny how you pass on things your professors told you without really doing all that much fact-checking. I'll have to continue to do this in the future.
One thing to be happy about: On Friday, there will be a new issue of Knitnet up on the internet. Like free patterns? Like articles about knitting? Go to Knitnet. (the free patterns are available until the next issue comes out but it is possible to buy back issues on a CD-ROM for not a lot of money)
