Another children's author gone. I just read this morning that Astrid Lindgren has passed away

Tove Jansson died last summer.

Still, I guess there are up-and-coming authors like J.K. Rowling (provided her stuff doesn't burn itself out by becoming too danged commercial) and "Lemony Snicket", and....well, I can't think of any others right now but I am sure there are some good ones out there....

In other news, yesterday I contributed even more leaves to the growing leaf-and-brush pile in the backyard. I have 4 1/2 (of 6 total) squares knit for the turtle booties. And I have an exam to type up now.
