Well, I'm not sore. Which surprises me a little bit - I'm not exactly Ms. Athlete.
My conclusion on water aerobics: tons of fun. Will take some getting used to getting home so late. I'm less self-conscious in a swimsuit than I thought I would be.
There was this one skinny chick in the class, she was wacko. She was like "This workout is supposed to burn 500 calories? Great, that's more than I eat in a day!" Uh huh. If that were true, you wouldn't be capable of standing up, let alone doing a sustained workout Then she asked the instructor if the workout would make her lose weight.
I couldn't tell if she had some kind of body image problem or was being nasty-snarky because most of us in there were more of the zaftig sort. For now, I'm going to assume she either has a body image problem or is one of those people who always needs to draw attention to herself. Still, I think I'm going to avoid that chick in the future and hang with some of the older ladies - who were great sports, who laughed and said "this exercise is making my butt float up!" and didn't seem to care what they looked like.
here is my swimsuit. I like it a lot.
